SMARTboard Tip: Transparent Background = Fun Geometry Activity

I’m currently working on a presentation for my school’s first ever SMART User Conference. One of my sessions is all about how to use NOTEBOOK Math Tools in class…no paper required.

One of the tricks that I’m going to share is how I use the transparent background with the protractor to help teach my students how to read it.

Using Alien Angles, from the Math Playground, we have fun “rescuing aliens” and learning how to use a protractor.

This activity is fun for the kids and they actually have loads of fun doing it. Trust me, you won’t have very many difficulties getting kids up to volunteer.

The Transparent Background tool is located in the SMARTnotebook menu bar
